The house is situated in a highly sought after area, a mere three minutes by car to the beach, nestled in the hills overlooking the jungle and ocean of Playa Hermosa.
The house is equipped with all modern amenities and decorated with imported Balinese furniture and artifacts from around the world.
The ocean facing balcony, raised on stilts, offers amazing jungle views through to the sea below. From here you can enjoy your morning coffee or practice some yoga listening to the sounds of the jungle and the waves rolling in. There are many different birds and monkeys spotted from here.
The open plan living area and high beamed ceilings throughout allows for plenty of space and comfort during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped for every need including large fridge/freezer, microwave, oven/grill and four hobs, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and blender. The bedroom has a large built in closet with A/C and ceiling fan.

The house was amazing and Scarlett was a wonderful host. The view from the house was beautiful, and it was a perfect spot for our trip to Costa Rica. We were close driving distance to Santa Teresa and Playa Hermosa. The house was very clean and comfortable. I cannot wait to go back!

This is a really great house! Everything is new, and nice, great sheets and towels and the kitchen is well stocked to cook.

We stayed at Villa Maluku for seven days during our exploration of the rugged and unspoiled Nicoya Peninsula. Scarlett was an unbelievably helpful, responsive and pleasant host who communicated with us efficiently and without delay. Villa Maluku is one of three houses situated on the property, where two houses are rented and one belongs to the owners. The houses are white, all built tastefully, and have the same modern semi-minimalist architecture. Villa Maluku has high-sloped ceilings with wooden beams and is a perfect size for a couple. It is spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and well-lit. We had all the supplies to easily prepare our meals in the kitchen, the mattress was extremely comfortable, and the cable TV has several good English movie channels. The house is on a hill and is about 2.2 km away from the Hermosa Beach, which is ideal for walking, searching for shells and amazingly-coloured rocks, surfing, observing yellow-green parrots at play early in the morning, and befriending extremely gentle Costa Rican dogs. The roads are rough. Rent a reliable 4WD and be prepared for some adventurous driving (bumpy, hilly, and curvy) throughout the Nicoya Peninsula.

This is a perfect house for a couple! Everything is new and clean. The view is lovely and the location is perfect. It is just close enough to town for convenience but far enough away to allow for privacy and relaxation. Scarlett and Lincoln are amazing owners and are super happy to help with anything you need. We have going to Santa Teresa Costa Rica for the last 8 years and this has been one of the most comfortable homes that we have rented. Playa Hermosa, which is the closest beach to this home, is the best beach in the area and it was lovely to be out of the busy part of Santa Teresa. The view is lovely and we felt that we got very good value for the accommodation and location. Perfect for couples - every piece of furniture is comfortable and attractive. Well designed with all the conveniences needed in a home. They even have a large closet for your clothes - a first for us in Santa Teresa! Scarlett and Lincoln are very accomodating - have properly thought out what guests need (even have flashlights in easy reach). Highly recommend this home for 2 people.
